💸 VC & Fund Highlight: Michelle Bernier — Liberty Ventures

Originally from Venezuela, Michelle Bernier broke into venture capital at just 23 and is now Chief of Staff and the second-highest executive at Liberty Ventures. She helped scale Liberty into a 20,000-member global ecosystem, leading operations, events, and accelerator programs for founders, investors, and executives worldwide.

Liberty Ventures is a values-driven venture ecosystem and $10M seed fund backing founders and investors committed to freedom, human flourishing, and principled capitalism.

👩‍💻 Female Founder Feature: Rosanna Gao — Co-Founder, SpringCash

Rosanna Gao’s journey to founding SpringCash started early. Growing up around her family’s manufacturing and retail business, she saw firsthand how cash flow timing can make or break growing brands.

While studying at Yale, Rosanna worked closely with influencers and creators launching CPG brands — and repeatedly saw founders struggle to access flexible working capital despite strong demand, purchase orders, and invoices. That insight led to SpringCash, a platform built to unlock liquidity for inventory-heavy businesses.

🚀 Startup & Operator Spotlight: Jamie Portnoff

After accidentally entering the pharmaceutical industry in 2001, Jamie Portnoff built a career in highly specialized life sciences consulting. In 2019, she took the leap to go independent — and soon co-founded a women-owned global life sciences consulting firm.

In early 2024, Jamie became CEO. Shortly after, multiple private-equity-backed companies approached the team for acquisition — and in 2025, the company successfully exited. Her story is a powerful reminder of how deep domain expertise can translate into founder-scale outcomes.

💗 Closing

Early-stage ecosystems are built by people who notice problems early — and choose to act. We’re grateful to share this community with founders, investors, and operators doing exactly that.

More soon.
